Hickory Trading Company Cafe
A local cafe and gift shop wanted to accept online orders for their cafe. Working with them through the Summer of 2019 we were able to to deploy a custom web application that met and exceeded their needs.
Friends of the Virginia Beach Public Library
This non-profit organization came to me looking for a website that 'popped' and featured dolphins (the animal used to represent the city of Virginia Beach) in the design. I made a slim, custom content management system for them, so they could easily update the pages on their site without the slowdowns of most CMS platforms.
Estabrook Civic League
We developed a website in 2015 for the Estabrook Civic League in Norfolk, Va. It started as a simple informational website, and quickly turned into a dynamic community hub. Instead of sending paper newsletters to everyone in the community, Estabrook is transitioning to a digital newsletter system through their website.
Paul Urban & Friends
This website is designed to be a simple web presence for the Virginia-based blues band. The schedule page includes search-engine readable metadata about the band's performances. Google indexes this data and displays it in their search results.
In 2013 I made a website for a local jewelry store in Chesapeake, Virginia. The owner provided colors and layout sketches that I used to make a custom design. This dynamic website changes the homepage each time someone visits by randomly selecting images from each category of jewelry.
Daniel's Advanced Readiness Testing System
DARTS is a web application Daniel started developing for a school he attended. It would present practice questions of CompTIA certifications and allow the user to answer them. The system will tell the users if they are right or wrong after each question. The design was intended to be simple and easy to navigate. In 2014 he performed a complete recreation of the application, which accomplished a much better design and made it exponentially easier to add questions, while greatly enhancing security. The testing system is available to anyone who signs up, or can be used with a demo account.
Tech4Belize Mission Trip
When Daniel went to Belize with his church on a mission trip in 2015 to help build a high school, he suggested the group bring tablet computers to setup a technology room. This website provides information about the technology initiative through a simple, 4 page setup.
The D Website.net
Daniel's first web project, his personal site, started in August 2007. The design has changed greatly since then. He created the current design during the Summer of 2011 and tried to make it professional, while being technical and personal.
The commercial website for the business. The latest design was created in 2015. (This is it, by the way)
